A number of customers have asked “how can we tell if it is a server problem or a network problem?” Until now, the answer was you couldn’t. But now you can. If you specify an IP address on the Domino server properties box, if the server is not responding, it will ping that address to see if the network is up or not. In the screenshot below, you can see that server really is down, because the network is up!
