Overview
VitalSigns monitors Notes databases servers without installing anything on the server itself. Using the Notes client DLLs installed on the monitoring workstation, VitalSigns can monitor any Notes database that the client can connect to, including mixed versions of Domino, on mixed platforms, even in different domains. VitalSigns verifies that the database can be opened by a Notes client, and that is really what your customers care about.

- Can perform the following tests:
- Database Response Time - Times how long it takes to open the default view. This value is tracked and can be graphed
- Document Count - Sends an alert if "too many" documents are in the database. You pick the threshold.
- Database Size - Sends an alert if the database gets "too big". Again, you pick the threshold.
- Database Disappearance - Sends an alert if the database "goes missing". Not that that ever happens in your organization, right?

Graphing
Those databases that are tracked for response time will automatically show up on the graphs tab with options for viewing Today, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly response time trends.
