How does it monitor...BlackBerry Enterprise Servers?

see also: BES User Monitoring, BES Device Monitoring, the Business Case for BlackBerry monitoring

Key Points
  • Uses SNMP to query the BES Server, so nothing installed on the BES server
  • Verifies that BES Services are running
  • Verifies that the server is connected to the Service Provider (SRP)
  • Monitors Pending, Expired, Filtered, Sent, and Received Messages
  • Can 'ping' specific test devices to verify end-to-end connectivity
  • Maintenance Windows are supported
  • Also monitors devices and users, see links above

Overview

BlackBerry Enterprise Servers are especially critical because the typical end user tends to be a high-strung executive. Downtime is simply not acceptable.
